Find a fresher job during recession

If on a fresh graduate seeking your first job, may not have been the times harder. The global economic downturn and its impact on the labour market is for everyone to see. Recession has hit hard on campus from anywhere in the country. Even top notch institutes are not able to 100% campus placements this year. So what can a fresher do to his career?

First and most important is never to loose patience. Try to make new contacts and you're a lot of work to make existing use. Even for you work for free, you get an experience that will help when the market opens again.

Consider an additional diploma or degree in your area of interest to strengthen your main topics pursuit. This will take you apart from other job seekers and will definitely get your preference.

Don't go by the average salaries offered to your seniors a year or two ago. These times were different. So, it is important that you accept what is offered, as long as the profile is decent and you get in business.

6) am open to other possibilities
Look for employment in sectors other than the conventional. Startup with a company in another industry that may have a similar role to offer. The option to shift will always be there, once the market open.

As a first time job seeker you must find the middle ground on these things relative to the deteriorating economic situation to get those fresher job to start your career.
